Fashion Photography
Just imagine a number of fashion models slinking down a clothes ramp, displaying the creations of a well-known fashion designer. Just imagine that all the fashion photographers are upon a strike. What happens to the fashion show? There is no question of the Show ever being a success, because fashion photography is quite an integral part of fashion and dress designing. Its focus is upon the display of clothing, fashion trends as well as accessories and fashionable items, which will go with a particular dress. And once the model has been kitted out in her glad rags, she is going to be photographed from every photogenic angle.
Fashion photography is one of the ways in which the dress designers can get their ideas across to the general populace who could not make it to the fashion show. Everybody who is interested in the latest trendy design is thus going to look at the photographs of their favourite anorexic models graciously undulating down a fashion ramp. Once these photographs go out and hit the fashion magazines, the designers can be assured of an enthusiastic response to one particular dress or clothing line. That model is immediately going to go into production, and will soon hit the markets before the next season starts.
So in a way, if you did not have fashion photography to impress you and entice you into buying some new fashionable clothing, you would not be bothered much about the season’s latest fashion trend and craze.
